Either or both courses should follow on from the full day course 'Timber behavior and properties'.
They both complete the foundation needed before attending the seven product specific courses.
Introduction to softwoods and hardwoods training course
The courses are highly practical and to maximize the actual content learned include a wide range of quizzes, samples, tasks and group working. Because the courses are delivered in-house they can be tailored significantly around the questions and areas of interest of the delegates.
The courses are designed for 8-20 delegates. More than one company can provide the delegates if required. Attendees will be given the confidence and instruction on how to find out more for themselves using TRADA resources.
Learning outcomes of the Introduction to softwoods and hardwoods timber training course:
- Timber properties
- Strength grading
- Appearance grading
- Processing log to planks / balks.
TRADA members can only redeem their training vouchers against the introductory courses.
