London, UK - August 12, 2019 - BM TRADA, part of the Element Group, has been selected to participate in the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) pilot assessment program, for the accreditation of the certification of Collaborative Business Relationships (ISO 44001).
Following a call for expressions of interest, BM TRADA is one of six organizations to be chosen by UKAS to take part in the pilot. On completion of the program, UKAS will announce the accreditation of successful certification bodies.
ISO 44001 is the first international standard in the world to address collaborative business relationships, which have been shown to enhance competitiveness and performance, in areas such as cost management, resource efficiencies, risk management and innovation.
Rob Veitch, EVP Fire and Building Products at Element, said: “The requirement for this accreditation has been driven by market demand, as increasing numbers of businesses are adopting collaborative business approaches – including high profile projects in the rail and infrastructure sectors.
“We’re thrilled to be supporting a new standard by taking part in this project. As certification specialists, our team of experts can provide a comprehensive range of services to a diverse scope of industry sectors. Being able to offer the UKAS accredited ISO 44001 would enhance our strong portfolio of management systems certification.”
The project commenced in August 2019 and is expected to be completed in February 2020.
