BM TRADA operates the Q-Mark product certification for construction products which is based on the recognized Product Certification Standard EN ISO/IEC 17065.  

Product certification is defined as a system for determining the conformity of a product with specific requirements through an initial conformity assessment and ongoing surveillance conformity audits. Depending on the product, regular audit testing of product samples taken from the factory, and/or the open market is undertaken as part of the ongoing certification.

The BM TRADA Q-Mark product certification for construction products which system is based on the recognized Product Certification Standard EN 45011 and confirms that a product conforms to the requirements of an appropriate recognized product Scheme Technical Document.

A conformity assessment under the Q-Mark product certification for construction products system will include some of the following:

  • Initial Type Testing / calculation / Technical Appraisals - mandatory
  • Design Appraisals depends on Scheme Technical Document
  • Ongoing factory surveillance audit - mandatory

The resultant certification is specific to clearly defined products, elements, systems or processes.
