BM TRADA operates the Q-Mark solid wood paneling and cladding scheme. This is an independent, third-party product certification for cladding.
Cladding is the application of one material over another to provide a skin or layer that is intended either, to control the infiltration of weather elements, or for aesthetic purposes. Cladding is a control element and does not necessarily provide water-proofing. It may serve to safely direct water or wind to control runoff and prevent infiltration into the building structure.

Independent Q-Mark certification enables the manufacturer to demonstrate that it has been manufactured under a quality management system and achieves a consistent standard of performance.
