Fire doors save lives and protect property and as such it is vital that they are manufactured, installed, specified and checked correctly. BM TRADA offers comprehensive certification for timber fire doors, through its Q-Mark manufacturing and installation schemes.
BM TRADA has operated the Q-Mark Timber Fire Door Scheme since 1981. It is a third-party scheme which provides independent assurance to architects, specifiers, enforcing authorities and building owners that all doors sold under the scheme meet the specified technical and regulatory requirements.
In January 2001 BM TRADA launched the installers scheme to complement the long established manufacturing scheme. By completing the process, the installers' scheme gives full peace of mind to the end customer.
