Broglia Press achieves joint chain of custody certification
Date: 29th September 2008
Broglia Press has achieved joint FSC and PEFC chain of custody certification with BM TRADA. The commercial printer, based in Poole, Dorset, has been producing quality colour printing for more than 40 years. According to Production Director Tony Marsden, Broglia Press has undergone the certification process to respond to demand from the printing industry and from commercial clients. ‘Clients want their suppliers to demonstrate the same standards of environmental awareness as they themselves do and there is no doubt that our certification has enabled us both to retain existing business and to bring in new clients.’ Targeting FSC and PEFC certification has also heightened staff awareness of environmental issues and their understanding of what lies behind the process. ‘Our staff are committed to maintaining the processes we have established, to ensure that we deliver the service our clients expect,’ Mr Marsden added. The company’s four B1 presses, including an eight - colour perfector, enable the £7 million turnover company to undertake a range of work, from magazines and leaflets, to stationery and posters. Its 24-hour operation means that it offers an enviably swift turnaround.
