Bradfords underlines commitment to the environment

Bradfords Building Supplies of Yeovil, Somerset, has achieved joint chain of custody certification under the FSC and PEFC schemes with BM TRADA for all of its 26 branches.
The company is one of the UK’s leading builders merchants and has been supplying customers throughout the south-west, Herefordshire & Worcestershire for more than 200 years.
Saes & Marketing Director M (give first name in full) Tidmarsh said, ‘Achieving chain of custody certification was a key target for us. As a responsible company, we felt it necessary to promote sustainable and well-managed timber products for the benefit of all involved.’
And certification will open new doors for Bradfords, he added. ‘Sustainable construction is not a passing phase and as more customers want to buy certified products we anticipate demand will grow.’
