James Jones, PEFC and Wiehag sponsor ITWT 2010

Scottish sawmillers James Jones & Sons Ltd, PEFC UK sustainable forest management certification  and structural timber engineering specialists Wiehag have signed up as sponsors of TRADA's 2010 In Touch with Timber conference. The event will take place on 18th May at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster.

This now annual conference is aimed at architects, engineers, specifiers and other construction industry professionals. Speakers include Andrew Waugh, Director, Waugh Thistleton Architects, on Using cross laminated timber to break new ground; Paul Fast, Principal, Fast and Epp Engineers, giving an insight into the Wood Wave roof system of the Richmond Oval; and Niall McLaughlin, Director, Niall McLaughlin Architects with Tim Lucas, Engineer, Price & Myers on the Structural Wood Award-winning Deal Pier & Cafe Bar. In addition architectural author and journalist Ruth Slavid will select favourite refurbishment case studies from a forthcoming TRADA publication.
