BM TRADA Certification has signed up as an official show partner for Timber Expo 2012, underpinning its support for a show which is unique for the timber sector.
UK Sales & Marketing Manager Jane Owen said, ‘Last year’s event generated widespread interest in our services, particularly FSC® Project and FSC & PEFC Chain of Custody. Again this year we will be offering information and advice on our stand, as well as staging informative seminars to help contractors understand how full or partial FSC project certification may help their projects.’
In addition, the BM TRADA team will demonstrate the benefits of Chain of Custody certification (FSC & PEFC) and business management certification, including OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Another important aspect of the company’s services is third-party product certification under the Q-Mark brand. BM TRADA Q-Mark scheme membership is based on meeting strict technical and legislative requirements and requires manufacturers to have in place a Factory Production Control system, ideally under ISO 9001 or similar, demonstrating a commitment to quality and consistency in production. A wide range of products and building systems is covered by Q-Mark, which is recognised by NHBC and other leading organisations.
TRADA Membership & Marketing Manager Rupert Scott said, ‘With its 35-year track record in the construction sector, the BM TRADA name is well respected and can only enhance what Timber Expo 2012 has to offer contractors, developers and specifiers.’
