DWB Boston Ltd, part of the DWB Group, has achieved ISO 9001:2008 quality management certification with BM TRADA Certification. The company also holds PEFC chain of custody certification with BM TRADA.
Managing Director Steve Pinner said the company had two key objectives: externally to enhance the company image and gain preferred supplier status with customers; and internally to establish even tighter control of operations and create a firm foundation for continuous improvement.
Mr Pinner envisages that DWB Boston will also benefit from cost-savings over time. ‘No longer will we spend time fixing the same problems, because many will be fixed permanently. Also, we now have processes, resources and skills in place to identify and fix any issues faster, better and cheaper.’
The ISO 9001 management system will bring enhanced customer satisfaction, he added. ‘Customers tend to place greater levels of trust and confidence in products and services associated with ISO 9001-certified companies. It will also enable us to improve customer retention and target new business, translating to growth in turnover and profitability.’
